FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

The Vintage Market on Squam Lake is located across the street from Squam Lake (gorgeous lake views!) at Cottage Place in Holderness, New Hampshire. The charming space was built in 1957 and maintains it’s vintage charm, with Cottages of various sizes and Cottage Suites in the main building. Enjoy the market on Cottage Place grounds and be sure to put your toes in the sand across the street at the lake too!

Where do we park?

Parking will be available all along Rte. 3, at Cottage Place (both sides), the 2 neighboring parking lots  at the Holderness Town Hall for parking all day. Though we do have plenty of parking, we cannot predict the flow of people, so we appreciate your patience with this. Please carpool if you can and wear comfortable shoes if you do have to do some walking. If you park a ways away but want to buy something big, just come see someone at the front desk and we’ll help you!

How much does it cost to get in?

$5.00 per person for ALL WEEKEND admission. Tickets available online or at the gate. Your hand stamp will allow you to come and go both Saturday and Sunday.

Do I need to buy tickets before I arrive?

You do not need to pre-buy your tickets. You can bring $5.00 cash when you enter. But please note that due to poor cell service (and no wifi at the front gate), you may not pay for your admission with a credit card. Cash only.

If you have purchased a ticket online, please have a screenshot of your ticket ready to show or a physical printout of the ticket generated online when purchased.

Are there restrooms?

Yes, we have public restrooms, located in 3 of our buildings on the Vintage Market grounds. All ground level, as well as several porta potties behind the main building.

Are pets allowed?

Service dogs ONLY are welcome at The Vintage Market in accordance with the guidelines provided by the ADA; ONLY service dogs are allowed. We understand that you love your pet (and we do love dogs!), but The Vintage Market is not the place for him or her, among valuable merchandise/vendors/food. Please also respect that many people are allergic. If you are bringing your registered service animal to The Vintage Market, please e-mail us at cottageplace@gmail.com to let us know and they must remain under your immediate control at all times. Please clean up after your service dog and provide adequate water. DO NOT LEAVE DOGS IN CARS! ADA guidelines are available at http://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm

What if it rains?

Early May and late October can be chilly or it can be like a summer day! Our event is rain or shine! Please dress accordingly for the forecasted weather and we promise a fun time!

Will there be food?

YES! We will have a handful of food truck vendors! A few of our vendors will also be selling homemade pies, cookies, breads and jams for snacking and gifting!

Is the event handicapped accessible?

The entire event in on the ground floor with no stairs and walkways that are plenty wide, to navigate the grounds of vintage goods.

What else is there to do in the area?

We’re glad you asked because we LOVE where we live and work! Aside from Squam Lake, there are a handful of delicious restaurants in the area and LOTS to do, from hiking to theatre to antiquing.
